Nuovo Driver AMD, 24.1.1, una major release che debutta insieme alla nuova GPU RX 7600 XT, una delle migliori soluzioni per gestire il FHD con qualche puntatina nel 2K, che difetta forse, anzi sicuramente, solo nel prezzo di lancio decisamente troppo esoso, ma che col tempo potrebbe diventare una scelta similare a quella che fu Polaris RX 580 8 GB nel caso di probabili offerte ben sotto i 300 euro.
La grande novità di questo driver, però, è l’introduzione all’applicazione forzata software di FMF, Fluid Motion Frames, che si differenzia dal supporto nativo nel gioco per la sua natura generalista e di sovrapposizione, che lo rende sicuramente meno rifinito per interfaccia e implementazione, ma disponibile così per tutti i giochi DX11 e DX12.
Ovviamente queste tecniche, nonostante il marketing ossessivo, non sono la soluzione definitiva a tutte le problematiche di frames, ma risultano convincenti solo se già il titolo in oggetto riesce a sviluppare almeno un 60-70 fps in full screen senza v-sync, nel qual caso a discapito di una maggiore input lag, possono risultare utili a migliore la fluidità.
A livello di nuovi titoli ottimizzati con supporto nativo abbiamo il recentissimo TEKKEN 8 e Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, mentre esclusiva di RX 7000 sarà il nuovo, per così dire visto che è lo stesso che troviamo in FSR 2 e 3, algoritmo per l’upscaling video, supportato da Chrome, Edge e Media Player di Windows fino a 4k, ma oltre a questo fa piacere ritrovare ottimizzazioni specifiche per codec AVC, HEVC e AV1.
Da sottolineare come da questa release termini il supporto a AMD Link, il software per il monitoring remote delle statistiche GPU.

- Intermittent install failure may be observed when using the factory reset setting.

- Audio may intermittently become out of sync with the video when recording from AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition using AV1 codec. [Resolution targeted for Q2]
- Oculus Rift S may display with a green tint on AMD Radeon™ RX 7000 series GPUs.
- After a system reboot, Parsec host application may experience a crash on some AMD Graphics Products, such as the Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX. [Resolution targeted for 24.2.1]
- During Microsoft Teams meetings, the camera may intermittently display looped footage on some AMD Products, such as the AMD Ryzen™ 7 7840U Processor.
- On select hybrid graphics configurations, AFMF may be inaccurately displayed or absent, particularly in systems where one of the devices lacks support for AFMF. [Resolution targeted for 24.2.1]
