Nuovo Driver AMD 24.09.1 , si tratta, sostanzialmente, dell’ufficializzazione dei driver preview su branch dedicato con supporto a:
- Frostpunk 2
- God of War Ragnarök
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
- The Sims™ 4 DirectX® 11 Update
Ma introducono anche interessanti novità come il supporto a AFMF 2, l’evoluzione delle tecniche di frame generation di AMD, che non necessitano di Optical Flow come la controparte Nvidia, anche se con RDNA 4 questo, probabilmente, cambierà.
Le novità di questa versione risiedono in una più bassa latenza (la stessa è una controindicazione naturale della tecnologia stessa), migliori performance, una migliore consistenza (con meno artefatti) nelle sezioni concitate, miglior supporto al full screen, estensione delle API a OpenGL e Vulkan, integrazione con Radeon Chill (una tecnica per risparmiare energia, utile soprattutto in mobile) e ottimizzazione con i recentissimi Ryzen AI 300.
In aggiunta ora Counter Strike 2 avrà la possibilità di essere giocato con Anti-lag 2 e API Vulkan, inoltre per gli utenti dotati di Radeon 800M e serie 7000 segnaliamo la disponibilità del nuovo Geometric Downscaling per le riproduzioni video con una migliorata qualità generale e riduzione degli artefatti.

- AFMF may become inactive after enabling certain on-screen overlays.
- AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition may unexpectedly initiate upon system wake from sleep mode.
- Audio and video may intermittently become out of sync while recording using the AV1 codec in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition.

- AMD is collaborating with the developers of Frostpunk 2 to resolve an intermittent issue causing in game flicker while using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Record and Stream.
- AMD is collaborating with the developers of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to resolve an intermittent issue causing black flickering around certain water areas
